Four travelers, and the gold dot turns on
The minute the fourth traveler joins, the date locks and everyone gets the GoAhead. We send you a secure payment link for your deposit — 10% on a day tour, 25% on a package — and the balance is due before you travel. The trip is certain, and you travel together. If it never reaches four, nobody is charged. Once confirmed, it runs — we don't cancel a date for low numbers, so if someone drops out afterwards your trip is unaffected.

Nothing is charged until your date reaches GoAhead. Only then do we send a secure payment link for the deposit. No confirmation, no charge.
Every operator is Ministry-licensed
Every operator on Sawa is registered with the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism & Antiquities and registered with ETAA before a single departure goes live — never freelancers or unregistered guides, as open marketplaces often allow. You always know who you're traveling with.
Small groups, fixed price
Departures are capped at a small size — never more than twelve — and your price never changes based on how the group fills up.
Real dates, no bait
Every date on the board is real — listed by a Ministry-licensed operator, or started by a traveler and reviewed by our team before it opens. If a group doesn't form, you're never charged — move to the next date or walk away, your choice.

Can I start my own date?
Yes. Every tour page has a "start your own date" option — pick the day that suits you and it becomes a departure others can join. Our team reviews each new date before it appears, and nothing is charged unless it reaches GoAhead.
When is a trip confirmed?
The moment four travelers join the same date. That's the GoAhead — the date locks and the trip is certain to run.
What if a date doesn't reach four?
You're never charged for a trip that doesn't run. Nothing is taken before GoAhead, so there is nothing to refund — move to the next departure or walk away, whichever you prefer.
Who will I travel with?
A small mix of travelers — four to twelve — with one licensed guide for the whole group throughout the trip.
How do payments work?
You reserve free — no card, nothing charged. Once four travelers join and the date is confirmed, we send you a secure payment link: a deposit of 10% on a day tour or 25% on a package, with the balance due before you travel.
Can operators set their own price?
Yes. Operators publish the itinerary and price; Sawa keeps it fixed for every traveler regardless of how the seats are sourced.
