Sawa is the Arabic word for "together." We built it to fix one quietly painful problem in Egyptian travel — and to make sure that when someone wants to see the pyramids, the Nile or the desert, the trip they were promised actually happens.

People come to Egypt for all kinds of reasons — it's affordable, it's extraordinary, and for many it feels safer to explore in a group. They'd arrive ready to join a group tour, only to discover the group didn't exist. The traveler left disappointed.
Meanwhile operators were getting those same requests — one traveler here, two there — never quite enough to run the date. So they canceled. The tour they wanted to run, and the trip the traveler wanted to take, both vanished over a gap of two or three people.
Demand existed. Supply existed. They just never met on the same date. That's the gap Sawa closes.

Who runs Sawa. Sawa Tours is operated by Online Era, registration number 148500. Tours themselves are delivered by licensed Egyptian tour operators approved by Sawa — the company responsible for your trip is named on the departure page and in your booking confirmation.
