Nile Discovery: 4-Day Cruise from Aswan to Luxor
Cairo · 4 days · 3 nights · shared departure for 4–12 travellers · from €500 per person · departs on Wednesdays, Fridays
About this departure
Sail through the heart of ancient Egypt on a five-star cruiser from Aswan to Luxor. Begin in Aswan with the engineering feat of the High Dam, the mystery of the Unfinished Obelisk and the island sanctuary of Philae Temple, then settle aboard your cruiser for a felucca sail around Kitchener's Island as the sun drops behind the palms.
As you sail north the temples keep coming — the double temple of Kom Ombo, shared by two gods, and Horus at Edfu, one of the best-preserved monuments in Egypt — before Luxor unfolds with Karnak, Luxor Temple and the royal tombs of the West Bank. Full board and a licensed Egyptologist are included throughout, so every day is handled end to end.

Itinerary
- Arrival in Aswan — High Dam, Philae Temple & felucca sailing — Arrive at Aswan International Airport, where you're met and escorted to your five-star Nile cruiser. Take in the panoramic sweep of the Aswan High Dam that created Lake Nasser, then trace the story of ancient stonecraft at the Unfinished Obelisk before visiting Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis and rescued from the rising waters. Enjoy lunch on board, then a serene felucca sail around K
- Kom Ombo & Edfu Temples — Rise with the river and sail to Kom Ombo, a temple unlike any other — uniquely dedicated to both Sobek the crocodile god and Horus the elder. After lunch on board, continue to Edfu and step ashore for the majestic Temple of Horus, the exquisitely preserved falcon-god shrine. As evening falls, relax on deck while your cruiser glides towards Luxor under a starlit sky.
- Karnak & Luxor Temples — Today Luxor takes centre stage, beginning with the vast Karnak Temple complex, dedicated to the pantheon of ancient gods — a forest of stone columns where history pulses underfoot. Later, the elegant Luxor Temple awaits, where the echoes of pharaohs past still resonate. Meals are served on board amid views of the Nile's scenic banks, before another peaceful night aboard your floating hotel.
- Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut & the Colossi of Memnon — After breakfast, cross to Luxor's legendary West Bank. Enter the tombs of the Valley of the Kings, burial ground of pharaohs including Tutankhamun, stand before the terraced mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut set against the cliffs, and pause at the towering Colossi of Memnon. Your cruise then closes with a transfer to Luxor International Airport for your included flight to Cairo, where a Nile di
