Alexandria Uncovered — 2 Days on the Mediterranean
Alexandria · 2 days · 1 night · shared departure for 4–8 travelers · from €233 per person
The Other Side of Egypt
Egypt is usually imagined through deserts, pyramids, and temples. But travel north to Alexandria, and another Egypt begins to emerge — one shaped by the Mediterranean, by Greek philosophers, Roman emperors, merchants, and sailors.
Founded by Alexander the Great in 331 BC, Alexandria became one of the most influential cities of the ancient world. Its legendary lighthouse guided ships into the harbour, while its great library helped make the city a centre of scholarship and learning.
Two days allow you to discover Alexandria without the rush of a conventional day trip. Descend into remarkable underground tombs, explore the remains of the Roman city, stand beside the Mediterranean where the ancient lighthouse once stood, and discover the modern library that carries forward Alexandria's intellectual heritage.
And when the sightseeing ends, the city is yours for the evening. Walk along the Corniche, enjoy the sea air, and experience Alexandria after the day-trip coaches have returned to Cairo.
Travel with a small group of fellow explorers, accompanied by a licensed Egyptologist, with transportation, hotel accommodation, and lunch on both days organised for you.
Sawa means "together." This journey combines the pleasure of shared discovery with enough time to experience Alexandria as a city, not simply a collection of monuments.

Returning to Cairo
Two days in Alexandria reveal a different dimension of Egypt.
The underground tombs recall a city where Egyptian and Roman traditions met. The citadel stands where one of antiquity's greatest landmarks once guided sailors home. And the modern library reminds us that Alexandria's influence was built as much on ideas as on monuments.
What makes this journey special is the time between those discoveries — sharing lunch, watching the Mediterranean, and experiencing the everyday rhythm of Egypt's great coastal city.
You return to Cairo having explored a side of Egypt many visitors never get to know, and having shared the journey with new companions.
